State Local Government, Housing and Health committee chairman advised restaurant owners to focus on cleanliness in preparing food for their customers to prevent typhoid in Kota Baru, Malaysia, as there has been a slight increase in typhoid cases.
A total of 1,498 premises have been inspected by officers from the health department in a series of operations between July and last month. 13 premises were ordered to close while 1,245 others were compounded for various offences.
