Floodwater recedes, diseases spread

• With floodwater receding in Sylhet and Moulvibazar, Bangladesh, waterborne diseases including typhoid are spreading in the flood-hit areas as there is little medical care for a large number of affected people
• Around 15,000 families were marooned in Jalampur, Bangladesh and authorities say they are preparing to provide relief aid
