Update concerning the typhoid outbreak in Syria’s Yarmouk refugee camp

 

The U.N. has confirmed at least 11 cases of typhoid after conducting a series of medical consultations. This is the first time the U.N. has been able to reach residents from Yarmouk since June.

U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) spokesperson Chris Gunness is concerned that these cases are only “the tip of the iceberg.”
